ABOUT THE ROLE
As an integral part of our Supply Chain team, an Assistant Logistics Manager plays a key role in managing the distribution of goods within our company's supply chain.
This role involves leading the logistics activities for the Bamford Collection, providing support to internal and external stakeholders involved in the distribution process, and ensuring the timely and accurate distribution of stock. As Assistant Logistics Manager, you will support a team of co-ordinators who will deliver a high level of service, problem solve, and drive change and efficiencies.
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Assist with internal logistics initiatives and projects, driving process improvements, cost savings, and service enhancements across the organisation.
* Help to facilitate cross-functional collaboration and communication to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and enhance overall operational performance.
* Aid stores and customers regarding pick and order status, transport queries, and product information, resolving any issues or concerns in a timely manner.
* Provide a high level of customer service and respond to queries in a timely manner.
* Provide guidance and support to internal teams on logistics-related matters, including transportation planning, inventory management, and order fulfilment.
* Support the escalation process into retail and other business units that affect supply.
* Oversee the planning and execution of distribution activities, including order processing, picking, and shipping, to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products.
* Support the development and maintenance of relationships with distribution partners, such as carriers, freight forwarders, and third-party logistics providers, to ensure reliable and cost-effective transportation services.
* Monitor the status of shipments in transit, providing updates to customers or internal stakeholders, and addressing any delivery issues or delays.
* Maintain accurate records of shipments, including packing lists, bills of lading, and shipping labels, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

SKILLS YOU WILL BRING
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Proven experience in a KPI driven environment.
* Proficient knowledge of MS Excel. Excellent planning and organisational skills.
* Team working skills.
