An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our energetic and fast paced Schools and Colleges team within the Home Student Recruitment Service. Working primarily with post-16 students, the Schools and Colleges Team are responsible for planning and delivering a variety of projects and recruitment activity that supports strategic aims.
Please note this is a 12-month fixed term (maternity cover) position.
About the role
We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual who is passionate about Higher Education. As Student Recruitment Assistant, you will plan and deliver student recruitment activities, promoting the University and Higher Education, to prospective students across the UK, working with Post-16 schools and colleges. The role will include regular travel and delivery within schools and colleges as well as on both of our Sunderland campuses.
Please note a flexible approach to working will be required, including weekends and evenings. This role will involve UK travel and overnight stays and therefore requires a full clean driving license and access to your own car for business purposes.

The successful candidate will have comprehensive knowledge of Higher Education and knowledge of the UCAS cycle, postgraduate recruitment and other non-traditional student recruitment pipelines. This is a fast-paced and varied position, and the successful candidate will require excellent communication and organisational skills.
