Machine Operative
Due to a site expansion at our Lichfield Head Office, we have an opportunity for Machine Operatives to help us to create and run a new production team for Beetroot products at Florette in Lichfield, WS13 8NF.
As a Machine Operative, you will be a technical specialist on plant and process in a set area of the team. You will set up and run machinery, plant and equipment ensuring all food safety and hygiene procedures are maintained. The successful candidate will perform rudimentary asset care and remedial work on equipment as well as train operatives and ensure quality at all stages, whilst participating in systemic and process improvement within a CI framework.
Working hours: 4 days on, 4 days off. Hours based on business and production requirements.
Pay: £13.19 per hour
Main Responsibilities
* Identify and rectify mechanical faults to machinery and equipment where able and invoke escalation process.
* Participate in process improvements through CI framework.
* Assist in installing new plant and equipment when required.
* Implement and ensure adherence to SOPs.
* Complete rudimentary PPMs as instructed.
* Manage inspections of equipment integrity on a daily basis.
Skills and Experience Required
* A mechanical mindset.
* Level 2 Food Hygiene Qualification is desirable.
* Previous related experience with production machines, ideally in an FMCG or Food Environment.
* Open to change and constantly drives for improvement.
* A team player that supports the sharing of information and values the opinions of others.
* Tenacious approach and a good communicator.
