Pay Rate: £18.41 per hour PAYE
Hours per week: 37 Monday - Friday, normal working hours
Role Length: This opening assignment is for 12 months

In this role, you will assess learners in the workplace, providing support and guidance to help them meet qualification outcomes. As an Internal Quality Assurer, you'll ensure assessor practices meet standards, maintain quality assurance, and support the professional development of assessors.
Key duties:
Coordinate and implement a structured approach to workplace assessment, ensuring processes run effectively and efficiently while updating procedures as needed.
Undertake assessment and internal verification, providing feedback and advice to support the development of competence and performance.
Act as a point of contact for management and staff, offering guidance on workplace assessment procedures and quality assurance frameworks.
Liaise with external organizations and internal stakeholders, considering opportunities and risks to improve the workplace assessment process.
Conduct environmental scanning and audits to gather information for strategic decisions, ensuring the workplace assessment function remains current and effective.
Key requirements:
Qualified to NVQ A1 Assessor and V1 Internal Verifier (NVQ4 equivalent).
Have current knowledge of diversity issues.
Current experience of assessing to NVQ standards, including effective management of candidate portfolios of evidence.
Desirable:
Possess a PTLLS (Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector), Award in Education and Training, or equivalent Level 3 training qualification, and will work towards achievement of Level 4 Learning & Development Qualification.
Have recognised leadership qualifications.
The ability to travel across the Force area is required. Possession of a full driving licence may therefore assist with this
Excellent time management and problem solving skills
Excellent communication skills with ability to persuade/influence personnel (internal and external) at all levels.
