Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity for a a passionate and experienced Senior Ecotoxicologist, specialising in Endocrine Disruption (ED), to join our dynamic Global Science Delivery team. As a key member of the team, you will drive the design, delivery and interpretation of complex, critical ecotoxicology studies, demonstrating expertise in a range of terrestrial and aquatic disciplines. You will partner with our strategic global Contract Research Organization (CRO) network to ensure data alignment with Syngenta standards and practices, working closely with the Global Ecotox team, a network of experts across the organisation and project representatives, to deliver best-in-class technical inputs. Key responsibilities will include:
* Designing and managing a range of ecotoxicology studies conducted at CROs in support of the development and registration of new active ingredients and existing products globally.
* Analysing complex datasets and interpreting results, while developing and owning global ED technical positions on Syngenta AIs.
* Collaborating with global regulatory teams to deliver leading-edge, fit-for-purpose approaches, aligned with regulatory requirements.
* Acting as a recognized ED expert for support with regulatory challenges and the development of appropriate technical strategies.
* Delivering high-quality ecotoxicology data while providing technical leadership and developing innovative strategies.
Qualifications
What are we looking for?
* BSc & MSc / Ph.D. in Biology, Ecotoxicology, Environmental Toxicology, or a closely related field
* Extensive experience in ecotox studies under GLP environment, preferably in ED testing methods.
* Good understanding of global ecotoxicology data requirements for Plant Protection Products and the broader context in which they sit (risk assessment, changing regulatory landscape, new guidance).
* Proven expertise in developing and advocating technical ED strategies.
* The ability to demonstrate innovative thinking in problem-solving and emerging science, while adeptly manage complex situations, and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders to drive business-critical solutions.
