The Business Systems team are the go-to advocates for employees when we need help with different systems at Accruent and our sister companies, Gordian & ServiceChannel (collectively known as the Facilities Asset Lifecycle group - “FAL”). This team is dedicated to providing innovative, resilient, and secure systems to empower Accruent’s employees and set teams up for success. We find areas for automation and improvement to enable operational best practices. We are seeking a technical and collaborative individual help us unlock customer insights across key back-office tools.
As part of the Business Systems team, the Senior Business Systems Analyst role is responsible for documenting requirements, user stories, and success criteria. The person in this role will work with cross functional stakeholders and lead exploration discussions and requirement gathering sessions. This person will work with System Leads and System Administrators to provide solution advice and drive consensus. This role will also lead user acceptance testing and support System Administrators in testing and debugging. The role is essential in refining user ideas into requirements which can be delivered successfully by development team, which can be in-house or 3rd party.
The ideal candidate will be interested in solving problems, creating processes, tinkering under the hood of large enterprise business systems, and overdelivering when it comes to quality.
This position reports directly to the Senior Manager of Business Systems and will be located remotely.
How you'll make a difference:
* Gathering and documentation of requirements
* Generating detailed project documents including process flows, system wireframe mockups, acceptance criteria, and user stories
* Coordinating seamlessly between onshore business teams, technical leads, and offshore implementation teams
* Mastering the processes driving our operational and customer data, such that you can accurately guide business teams through requirements & design
* Reporting success metrics on previous work to inform business value of other proposed solutions
* Provide problem-solving support, advice and guidance to internal customers – you’re the go-to expert on system best practices across multiple platforms
* Strategically guide business teams to resolve complex problems using best-in-class systems, with a special focus on Salesforce
What you bring to the table:
* Excellent written and oral communication
* Independent researcher – someone who digs into the problem before asking others for a solution
* High comfort level working with operations and revenue organizations in the software industry – you’re used to discussing pipeline, recurring subscription management, and untangling process around them
* Strategic thinking – you know first-hand that the first solution may not be the best solution, and you are comfortable driving best practices
* 5+ years’ corporate experience
* Ability to simplify and drive consensus
* Self-starter, proactive approach – you want ownership from problem to solution, and are invested in sustained success
* Salesforce.com Administrator certificate a plus
* Demonstrated ability to drive solutions in Salesforce CPQ, Sales Cloud, and/or Service Cloud
* Professional Analyst certificates (PBA, CCBA, etc) a plus
