Paisley Site Services are proud to be working with a global shipping and logistics company to find a Business Development Manager based in London or Aberdeen.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND OBJECTIVES
1. Create a plan of sales appointments with prospects, developing and existing clients with a game plan to engage and secure opportunities.
2. Develop all necessary procedures and processes to ensure that the sales function operates efficiently and effectively and achieves objectives.
3. Create and identify new business opportunities.
4. Contact new and existing clients either by face-to-face meetings, telephone calls, or networking.
5. Prepare presentations and proposals for prospective clients.
6. Set your own appointments and manage your own time.
7. Required to sell air and sea freight services for both imports and exports.
8. Support Business Development on Sales Meetings.
9. Issue Visit Reports via company CRM.
10. Meet sales reporting and visit KPIs.
11. Develop and maintain relationships with key customers and other relevant bodies to ensure that the company's maximum sales potential is realized in your area.
12. Monitor the sales performance of competitors to ensure the company maintains and develops its competitive position.
Required Competencies
1. Project forwarding experience.
2. Ability to work on your own.
3. Use own initiative.
4. Driving Licence required.
5. Good Market Knowledge.
6. Travel in the UK required.
7. Computer Literate.
8. General Freight Forwarding Experience.
9. Experienced and motivated in sales.
10. A pro-active attitude.
11. Able to plan as well as work to and meet deadlines.
12. Commercial, Enthusiastic, Entrepreneurial.
Salary and Benefits
Salary for this position is up to £60,000 plus the following benefits:
