Role: Sales Manager
Location: Essex (Office-Based with Regular Sales Visits Required)
My client is a leading manufacturer of energy monitoring products, including current transformers, kilowatt-hour meters, multifunction power monitors, measuring transducers, data loggers, communication interfaces, and software solutions. With a strong reputation in the industry and over 50 years of experience, they are at the forefront of delivering innovative energy monitoring solutions to a diverse range of customers, including industrial sectors, resellers, engineering OEMs, and panel builders.
Due to expansion, they are seeking a Sales Manager to lead and develop both internal and external sales teams, driving growth and ensuring the business continues to capitalize on its rapidly expanding market. This role offers significant opportunities for career progression and advancement within a well-established, privately-owned company.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and develop a team of sales professionals, driving revenue growth.
Implement strategic sales initiatives to expand the company’s presence across key markets.
Provide leadership and coaching to enhance the team’s proactive selling techniques.
Work closely with technical, marketing, and customer service teams to maximize sales opportunities.
Plan and execute sales strategies, business development, and account management activities.
Represent the company through regular customer visits, maintaining strong relationships with key accounts.Ideal Candidate Profile:
Proven success in a sales management role within a technical product environment, ideally with an electrical or electronic bias.
Alternatively, an experienced sales professional ready to step into a management role.
Strong ability to train, mentor, and motivate sales teams.
Experience in marketing and promotional strategies to enhance product positioning.
A results-driven, ambitious, and proactive individual with strong leadership skills.
Ability to strategically plan and execute sales growth initiatives.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with customers and internal teams.
Strong IT and CRM skills to ensure the sales team operates efficiently.Requirements:
Full UK driving licence (maximum 6 points).
Proven track record of successful sales achievements.
Experience selling technical products, ideally within energy monitoring or electrical/electronic sectors.
Strong strategic planning and decision-making skills.What’s on Offer?
