You will work closely with the sonographers, senior colleagues and radiologists across North Wales, to develop and maximise the US service, ensuring a patient focused, safe, effective and efficient service that is able to meet the current and future needs of the wider Health Board and local population. The US service and post holder operates over seven days across a selection of acute and community ultrasound departments within the organisation.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
Main duties of the job
The sonographer will be independently responsible for carrying out and reporting on specialised ultrasound examinations to a high standard and in a professional manner, working to departmental guidelines whilst being accountable for their own actions. Excellent clinical skills, experience and a post graduate ultrasound qualification are essential.
Obstetric and gynaecological scanning and experience across a wide range of examinations is desirable including abdomen and small parts. MSK and/or vascular experience would be an advantage.
