My client is looking for a Production Team Leader to join an expanding engineering company with an immediate start available. This will turn into a permanent position after a qualifying period.
Package:
1. Salary: £14.06 per hour
2. Working Hours:
o Monday to Thursday: 08:00 - 16:30
o Friday: 08:00 - 13:00
3. Overtime: Paid at time and a half
Responsibilities:
1. Check all staff are present and ready for work at the start of every shift & report any lateness or absence.
2. Ensure your work area and staff are compliant with all company health and safety rules - all safety checks are completed in a timely manner for your area ready for shift start.
3. Control all consumables for your production team to maximise efficiency - no staff to enter stores for consumables etc., (you are responsible for this activity prior to shift start time).
4. Control flow of parts to & from each production cell to maximise productivity by keeping operators at their workstations.
5. Control production from your area to ensure production plan is achieved and all targets achieved daily/weekly.
6. Identify training and coaching needs of all staff within your area and create an action/training plan to ensure we have the flexibility to cover fluctuations in demand, sickness and annual leave.
7. Maintain skills matrix monthly to ensure this is up to date with all direct reports & report any gaps in information to the production manager (monthly).
8. Conduct all return-to-work meetings for your staff upon their return to work after any period of sickness (daily).
9. Report output against the weekly plan in daily meetings and escalate any potential delivery concerns that will prevent on time in full delivery against the production plan.
10. Action continuous improvement tasks as directed by your management team.
11. Ensure all parts meet quality requirements and all non-conformities are dealt with as per company policies or as directed by management & quality department.
12. Ensure all incidents/accidents are reported and recorded & follow up actions completed daily.
13. Lead by example - ensure all company rules are followed at all times.
