How does this role contribute to our collective success?
The purpose of this role is to maintain and support the on-going development of the Group Enterprise Risk Management framework, that enables the business to make informed decisions. The key mandate of the Group Risk Team, based predominantly in London, is to identify risk issues / heightened exposures and monitor and report them in a structured way. We work closely with other specialist assurance focused functions within the organisation, to deliver an enterprise risk view.
Job Responsibilities
What will you do in this role?
1. Preparation of quarterly internal risk reporting materials including for the Board Risk Committees, and executive Risk Committees, and other related risk groups, for both Group and relevant Legal Entities.
2. Facilitate ERM function deep dives into specific risk topics through the year.
3. Involvement in the production of the annual ORSA report for Group and Legal Entities.
4. Support the external reporting process for regulatory, rating agency and other purposes; specifically including production of risk disclosures, BMA, and SII Pillar 3 reporting requirements across Group and Legal Entities.
5. Support the review, development and monitoring of the Group and Legal Entity Risk Limit Framework.
6. Support the management of financial risks from climate change and ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements across our legal entities (e.g. CSRD).
Regulatory Response
1. Supporting the Legal Entity CROs to assess compliance with new regulatory requirements impacting ERM, and addressing any gaps.
2. Support on the response to ERM related regulatory thematic reviews of AXIS international Legal Entities (e.g. collation of documents, liaison with associated teams, addressing findings).
3. Deliver risk and control assessments and ensure all entity specific risks and controls are adequately documented in the risk registers and risk systems.
4. Meet with other areas of the business to promote risk awareness/culture and the role of the ERM function.

What we prefer you to have:
1. Bachelor’s degree or a relevant professional qualification (e.g. Underwriting, Actuarial or Accounting) advantageous.
2. ~3-4 years of experience in (re)insurance companies or consulting firms in underwriting, actuarial, risk, finance, or investment functions.
Role Factors:
In this role, you will typically be required to be in the office 3 days per week.
