Job summary THERAPY ASSISTANT PRACTITIONER. BAND 4 - 37.5 HOURS REACT Services An excellent and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Therapy Assistant Practitioner, who has at least 12 months experience of working as a band 3 therapy assistant and has been working towards band 4 competencies in Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy, to join the REACT team at Leighton Hospital. It is an expectation that they will be eventually aiming towards gaining their Assistant Practitioner Qualification. Main duties of the job We are looking for a motivated assistant practitioner with excellent clinical and communication skills to work alongside and support qualified therapists in the treatment of patients in A&E, the Frailty unit and admission wards at Leighton Hospital. The post holder will be expected to contribute to assessments and carry out treatment plans agreed by the qualified therapist for allocated patients. They will contribute to the inputting of data and produce monthly reports. We also require the commitment to contribute to a seven-day service. The successful applicant will be looking towards gaining their Assistant Practitioner qualification in the future and be able to demonstrate commitment to this from previous learning.
