My client, a leading utilities company is looking for an experienced Data and Reporting Lead to join their team for an exciting 6-month contract opportunity. This role is outside IR35 and offers hybrid working. Key Responsibilities: Manage and coordinate data improvement and remediation activities across multiple business teams to ensure operational asset data aligns with the Programme plan and goals. Develop a practical and effective reporting approach that supports operational performance improvement objectives. Oversee the development of new reporting and data analytical products in line with Programme delivery goals. When necessary, develop reporting and data analytics on existing platforms. Assist with data migration between platforms, including hands-on preparation and validation of data.Essential Skills & Experience: Proven experience in developing and managing data improvement initiatives and projects. Experience in developing and implementing reporting and data analytical products. Hands-on knowledge of utilities industry reporting/analytics platforms such as Qlik Sense, Power BI, and Alteryx. Experience with data migration and ETL toolkits. Strong SQL experience. Excellent writing and editing skills, able to distil complex information into clear, concise messages for diverse audiences. Fluency in both written and spoken English. A strategic thinker with the ability to address broader organisational needs. Highly organised, with a strong focus on deadlines, deliverables, and driving projects to completion. Able to thrive under pressure, managing tight deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Self-motivated and proactive. Strong interpersonal skills, comfortable engaging with stakeholders at all levels of seniority. Excellent influencing and negotiation skills, able to build credibility and navigate organisational challenges with tact and diplomacy. Experience advising senior leaders, including CEOs and executives. Resilient, adaptable, and able to handle ambiguity and change. Strong business acumen and organisational savvy.
