Salary: Starting from £36,000 per annum, depending upon skills and experience

What you’ll be doing
In this role, you'll be responsible for co-ordinating investigative casework focused on the identification of existing CWGC graves and newly recovered human remains. You'll line manage the Case Officers and the work process from beginning to end, delivering reports that are accurate, and recommendations which are fully informed. You'll oversee the organisation of reburial and rededication ceremonies, ensuring that verification, headstone orders, and commemoration protocols are completed accurately and delivered on time.
You’ll need to utilise your professional experience of conducting detailed historical research as well as your deep knowledge of 20th Century military history to help you succeed day-to-day. Applying your advanced digital skills, including the use of mapping applications, you’ll be able to successfully organise, analyse and interpret large datasets. With experience of line management, you’ll also be confident liaising with key internal and external stakeholders.
What you need to have
* Educated to degree level or similar in a relevant subject (e.g., military history, archaeology, historical research)
* Professional experience in historical research
* Strong knowledge of First and Second World War military history
* Advanced computer literacy
* Proven ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks
* Excellent communication and analytical skills, with the ability to present complex information
