This role works within the Resources directorate, with the aim of identifying process and system improvements within a culture of continual improvement. You will work as part of a team of Senior Business Analysts to carry out appropriate investigations and analysis of business functions and processes as well as personally dealing with complex investigations which require more expertise and creativity. The reviews and analysis the team produces will challenge pre-conceptions around existing practices. You will ensure that the solutions delivered, and the iterative changes deployed, are commercially viable and aligned to our service standards, supporting the delivery of our key shifts - People, Trustees and Data. You and the team will support operational services and project teams to ensure the best possible decisions are made, maximising the use of our resources (people, budget, and time) and ensuring that the Commission makes efficient, proportionate and appropriate decisions in all areas of its activity. Your work will be prioritised through Change & Portfolio, which is under the directive of the strategic objectives set by the organisation. You will utilise the most appropriate tools & techniques required to achieve the desired output, working collaboratively with key stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams. Predominantly focusing on business process 'AS IS' and 'TO BE' detailed design, in order to inform 'sound' requirements.,
* Promote Best Practice. You will act as an advocate for Business Process analysis promoting the tools and techniques required to support a 'sound investment' for product development, demonstrating its value across differing project methodologies. You will coach teams to adhere to the agreed approach and provide specialist advice and support to adapt to new ways of working/when required. You will help teams to manage and visualise outcomes, prioritise work items and work to agreed minimum viable product (MVP) and scope. You will be a capable leader, able to negotiate within a group setting as well as with individuals. You will be able to motivate a team, be a self-starter, offer support alongside being decisive and be able to work alone and meet tight timescales.
* Business analysis. You will take responsibility for complex or contentious investigative work into problems and opportunities in existing and new services. You will drive the analysis and collection of information to create recommendations for service improvements. You will analyse large amounts of complex information, validating potential impacts and formulating proposals for solutions.
* Business improvement process. You will analyse current services and processes and identify and implement opportunities to optimise these and clearly articulate and evidence the value to the organisation. You will help to evaluate and establish requirements using relevant techniques such as gap analysis.
* Digital perspective. You will have a comprehensive understanding of technology and product development in a technical setting, you will have the appropriate certification and experience in order to competently identify and support the implementation of complex digital solutions.
* Process prioritisation management. You will establish the impact of change initiatives, which will inform the subsequent prioritisation, whether low or high complexity. You will lead on detailed design analysis, requirements population and take responsibility for the investigation and incorporation of changes into portfolio investment scope.
