As they continue to grow and win more work, they are looking to add a skilled Quantity Surveyor to their team. Role Overview: They are seeking a Quantity Surveyor with 1-3 years of experience in groundworks or civil engineering to support projects across the Central Belt. In this role, you will assist with cost control, procurement, and contract management, helping ensure projects are completed efficiently, profitably, and to the highest standard. Key Responsibilities: Cost Management: Prepare and manage project budgets, forecasts, and financial reports to ensure profitability. Valuations & Payments: Conduct valuations, prepare payment applications, and manage client and subcontractor payment schedules. Tendering & Procurement: Assist with sourcing and managing suppliers and subcontractors, obtaining competitive pricing, and ensuring quality standards. Contract Administration: Oversee contract terms and compliance, manage variations, and handle disputes effectively. Reporting: Provide accurate and timely reports on project costs, progress, and budget forecasts. Client Liaison: Maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and project teams to ensure effective communication and project coordination. Key Skills and Experience: Experience: 2-3 years as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally within groundworks, civil engineering, or a related field. Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of quantity surveying principles, construction costs, and contract management. Attention to Detail: Ability to analyze and interpret project data accurately. Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong working relationships. Problem-Solving: A proactive approach to identifying and resolving project and cost-related issues. Software Proficiency: Familiarity with relevant industry software and tools for cost management and reporting.
