Primary Teaching Assistant (Full-Time, Temp-to-Perm)

We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Primary Teaching Assistant to join one of our welcoming primary schools in Plymouth. This is a full-time role with an exciting temp-to-perm opportunity for the right candidate. If you are committed to supporting children's education and development, we would love to hear from you. Experience with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and/or Early Years is a plus, though not essential.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist the class teacher in delivering dynamic and engaging lessons across the primary curriculum
* Provide 1:1 or small group support, particularly for children with SEN
* Help with lesson preparation and the organisation of classroom resources
* Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
* Support behavior management and contribute to the wellbeing of all students
Essential Skills and Experience:
* Prior experience in a primary school setting
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* A passion for helping children succeed in their learning journey
* Flexibility, patience, and a proactive approach to problem-solving
Desirable:
* Experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
* Experience in Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
Qualifications:
* Relevant qualifications or experience in education or childcare (e.g., NVQ Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent)
Additional Requirements:
* A valid DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for a new DBS check
* Available to start immediately
