About the Role
As a Senior Care Assistant at HC One, kindness is at the core of everything you do. It influences all aspects of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential, and Specialist care homes. Every team member understands that our residents are individuals with their own stories, and by joining us, you'll have a wonderful opportunity to give back to these individuals.
Your responsibilities include planning and delivering care that promotes residents' security, dignity, and independence. You'll get to know residents and their families, helping to create personalized care plans. Leading a team of Care Assistants, you'll maintain high standards of care and influence your team positively. Your tasks may involve assisting with mobility, end-of-life care, or communicating with families, always with kindness. You will also support the Registered Nurse and Care Manager by providing social and recreational activities and administering medication.
Maintaining accurate records and building strong team relationships are key aspects of your role.
Qualifications and Skills
Ideally, you will have completed a Level 2 Diploma in Adult Care (S/NVQ) and are willing to pursue Level 3 or equivalent. Experience in person-centered care planning and caring for people with dementia is preferred. Most importantly, you should have a positive attitude, be good at record-keeping, manage your time well, and communicate kindly and considerately with residents and colleagues.
