Job Title: Accounts Training and Development Specialist Location: Swansea Salary: Up to £35,000 Autograph Recruitment are partnered with a growing, independent accountancy practice based in Swansea who are seeking an Accounts Training & Development Specialist to oversee and manage the training of trainee accountants. This role involves mentoring and guiding up to three trainees at a time ensuring they develop key accounting skills and gain practical experience. When training is not required, the role will involve assisting with accounts preparation and VAT submissions. Key Responsibilities Provide structured training in bookkeeping and accounting principles. Teach trainees how to use accounting software packages, primarily Xero, Sage Taxation Suite, and Dext. Guide trainees in producing a complete accounts file. Train individuals to prepare accounts up to the trial balance stage. Provide assistance with the preparation and submission of VAT returns. Ensure trainees gain hands-on experience with real accounting tasks. Assist with accounts and VAT preparation when training is not required. Requirements Qualified (ACCA, ACA, or equivalent), part-qualified, or QBE (Qualified by Experience). Strong experience in bookkeeping, VAT, and financial reporting. Proficiency in accounting software, particularly Xero, Sage Taxation Suite, and Dext. Previous experience in training, mentoring, or managing junior accountants is desirable.
