We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic Specialty Doctor for a fixed term, -month post to work on the Treatment Ward at Peterborough. This role will be a pivotal part of a well-established Multi-Professional Team which includes a substantive full time Consultant Psychiatrist who will work alongside you.

Main duties of the job
1. Maintenance of the highest clinical standards in the evidence-based management of patients admitted to the Unit for assessment of their psychiatric condition.
2. Management of patients admitted to the Treatment ward in acute crisis of their mental health, under supervision of consultant psychiatrist.
3. To work with the multidisciplinary team on the unit and other teams within and outside the organisation and share responsibility with them for day-to-day management of the unit and seamless patient care.
4. Teaching and training of junior staff, medical students and other disciplines.
5. To actively participate in both departmental and Trust matters concerning Clinical Governance, audit and research.
6. To have responsibility for ensuring active participation in continuing professional development (CPD), supervision and medical appraisal.
