About the Role:
As a Day-to-Day Supply Teacher, you will be stepping into various classrooms to provide high-quality teaching and learning experiences in the absence of the regular class teacher. You’ll have the opportunity to work across multiple schools, teaching different year groups and subjects, allowing you to develop your versatility and teaching practice.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver Pre-Planned Lessons: Teach lessons provided by the school, ensuring continuity of learning for students.
* Classroom Management: Maintain a positive learning environment, managing student behaviour effectively and ensuring the classroom is safe and orderly.
* Adaptability and Flexibility: Be prepared to cover a range of subjects and year groups, sometimes at short notice.
* Student Engagement: Use creative and engaging teaching methods to motivate students and support their educational development.
* Feedback and Reporting: Provide feedback on student progress and behaviour to permanent staff, ensuring a smooth transition for students.
Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
* Experience: Previous teaching experience in primary or secondary education is desirable but not essential.
* Strong Classroom Management Skills: Ability to maintain order and keep students engaged in learning activities.
* Adaptability and Reliability: Willingness to work in various schools across Tameside, sometimes with short notice.
