Huntsman Advanced Materials is looking for a proactive and analytical individual to join our team as a QA Batch Release and Analytical Support Associate. In this role, you’ll be responsible for overseeing the release of all products from our Duxford site, managing batch release processes through ICT systems, and supporting customer complaint investigations. Responsibilities: Batch Release Management Product Release: Review, approve, and manage the release of all products from the Duxford site, using systems including SAP and LabWorks. Process Oversight: Ensure the SAP release process is followed across all functions, managing releases efficiently. Issue Escalation: Confidently identify and escalate any issues found during the release process, ensuring concerns are communicated clearly for timely resolution. Collaboration: Work closely with the Customer Service team to manage release priorities, ensuring adherence to production schedules. Cross-Functional Communication : Collaborate with other site functions, such as Production, Supply Chain, and Logistics, to ensure smooth release planning and execution. Self-Management: Take ownership of your workload and manage your time effectively to meet deadlines. Customer Complaint Support Investigation Support: Assist the Quality Assurance Lead with customer complaints by conducting investigations and lab analysis. Analytical Techniques: Apply analytical techniques such as Viscometry, FTIR, and Lapshear to investigate the physical and chemical properties of products. Lab Experience: Leverage your lab-based experience, whether gained through education or previous employment, to assist in detailed product investigations. Audit Support: Quality Audits: Assist in managing the site’s internal Quality self-audit process to ensure compliance and continuous improvement. Skills & Experience Required: Chemistry degree preferred. Knowledge of batch release management Ability to undertake detailed analytical work and report writing Exceptional communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments. Computer literacy and high proficiency in major IT tools including SAP and Labworks or similar systems. Proven ability to manage your workload independently and prioritise tasks effectively. Analytical mindset with experience in lab-based work, including general analytical techniques such as Viscometry, FTIR, and Lapshear. Ability to escalate issues confidently and clearly, ensuring swift resolution. Prior experience or education in a lab-based environment, ideally within a manufacturing or chemical industry.
