Deputy Local Service Manager in Ofsted Regulated 16:18 Supported Accommodation Services
(Maternity Cover 1 Year)
Based in Sittingbourne and Ramsgate with the flexibility to travel to other Kent Services
Pay GBP 27,262 per annum
37.5 Hours per week including Bank Holidays, Evenings and Weekends.
Sanctuary Supported Living is delighted to be recruiting for a Deputy Local Service Manager for our Young People's Supported Living services based primarily in Sittingbourne and Ramsgate with the ability to cover services across Kent and attend training at other locations outside of Kent.

The role of Deputy Local Service Manager will include:

Managing, recruiting, developing, and training staff within appropriate legislative and Ofsted frameworks and devising effective and well:run staff rotas
:
Promoting best practice to ensure quality services are carried out by staff
:
Ensuring effective support systems are in place and that we operate in a fully compliant way including Health and Safety following internal Sanctuary Processes and Housing legislation.

Supporting Local Service Manager in effectively managing the void process on any empty properties
:
A good understanding of applying legislation to the safeguarding of young people.

Developing and maintaining relationships with the young people you work with promoting ambition and supporting young people to achieve their desired aspirations.

Maintaining and working alongside the local authority and commissioners to implement changes for the needs of the service and young people.

Travel is a requirement of the role, due to the location of seven services throughout Kent e.g. Sittingbourne, Thanet, Folkestone, Hythe, Canterbury. Therefore, a full valid driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential.

Ensure timely reporting of Key Performance data to the local authority and internal teams as well as ensuring notifications to Ofsted are made within the timescale.

The role will require an on:call element on a rota basis this will include other services in Kent including CQC and Mental Health.

You will be trained to use an electronic support planning system called Nourish in our services as well as other systems
Skills and experiences:
:
Proven management or supervisory experience gained within a social care environment is essential
:
Previous experience of working in an Ofsted regulated environment is preferable
:
Compassionate, understanding, and hard working with a hands:on approach to help achieve supportive outcomes
:
Good written and effective communication skills
:
Experience of working with 16:18:year:old young people is essential.

Prior knowledge of support planning, risk assessment and safeguarding

Previous experience working under challenging circumstances
