Job summary Estates Department Mechanical Craftsperson (Plumbing and Heating) Due to a re-organisation of the Estates Department there are vacancies for 2 Plumbing and Heating engineers. Hours - 37.5 hours per week £30,722 plus 27 days holiday, plus bank holidays and voluntary pension scheme. The role is Monday- Friday with opportunities for overtime and weekend working, plus participation of an emergency on call rota. Start and finishing times 8.00 am to 4.00 pm. The SWFTCS Estates Department provides a comprehensive maintenance repair and installation service of building, grounds, engineering services and associated equipment throughout the SWFT Trust. Main duties of the job To work autonomously as an mechanical crafts person who will be part of an in house reactive maintenance department who will be responsible for prioritising daily workloads and fault diagnosis of plant and equipment as well as preventative planned maintenance schedules across all trust and company properties. To take responsibility for complex diagnostic fault finding, problem solving and repair and maintenance of equipment. To undertake servicing and installation of equipment and systems within the Trust and in other properties maintained by the SWFT Clinical Services team. Including Hot and Cold Water Systems, Natural Gas appliances/equipment, HVAC, Steam raising Plant, Refrigeration, Medical Gas Systems, Mechanical Pressure Systems, Oil fired plant, Drainage and Decontamination equipment, etc The post requires concentration to diagnose faults and the adaptability to respond to interruptions and deal with unplanned maintenance issues.
