Our client is a leading food and agri-business, supplying food ingredients, feed and fibre to thousands of customers worldwide, from world famous brands to small family run businesses.
They are looking to hire an Audit Manager on a one year contract for their London office as maternity cover.
The responsibilities:
The Audit Manager for our client is focused on strengthening the overall internal control environment through focused audits for (1) Europe and (2) ESG (environmental, social, and governance) and coordinating Audit Committee reporting. The “audit” aspect of the role involves:
Planning, executing, and following up on audit assignments at various locations within the group in Europe. This role will require an individual who is willing to work independently, is self-motivated, and is ideal for a driven, independent individual with good soft skills and an open/collaborative approach.
To steer IA’s efforts in providing value-added ESG reviews and support to the company’s ESG efforts and ambitions.
The individual will also work directly with the Head of Audit for the preparation of quarterly Audit Committee reporting deck; this process involves liaison with various senior sstakeholders,such as Board members and senior managers/directors. As such, this role requires excellent interpersonal skills and a strategic mindset to ensure success.
About you:
Post-qualification Internal Audit Experience of 5-7 years in a multinational company (commodities, agribusiness, dairy, food processing, or FMCG manufacturing experience preferred) or within Big 4 accounting firms.
Good understanding of risk management practices.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Open for travel—primarily European, up to circa 20-30%.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Technology Skills:
Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems like SAP or Oracle.
Ability to leverage technology and digitization to optimize existing processes
Education:
Undergraduate Degree in Accounting and/or Finance, CA or ACCA.
Advanced degrees such as a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) or a Master’s in Accounting are advantageous.
Additional Internal Audit Certification (e.g., CIA) is preferred.
