This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional to lead and manage a residential home, supporting children and young people with emotional, behavioural, and social needs to reach their full potential.
As a Service Manager, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment, ensuring high-quality care and positive outcomes for the young people in your care.
This role requires strong leadership, operational management skills, and a passion for making a difference in children's lives.
Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage the day-to-day running of the residential service in line with organisational policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
Provide strong leadership and guidance to the staff team, ensuring they are supported and motivated to deliver person-centred care.
Develop and maintain care plans and risk assessments that reflect the individual needs of the children and young people.
Promote safeguarding practices and ensure that the highest levels of care and protection are maintained at all times.
Work in partnership with external agencies, families, and stakeholders to ensure the best possible outcomes for the young people.
Support the recruitment, training, and development of staff to ensure the team has the skills and knowledge to provide outstanding care.
Ensure compliance with Care Inspectorate regulations and maintain high standards of care at all times.
Qualifications and Experience Required: SVQ Level 4 in Social Services (Children and Young People) or equivalent.
Minimum of 2 years experience in a management role within a residential childcare setting.
Strong knowledge of Care Inspectorate regulations and SSSC codes of practice.
Proven experience of leading and motivating staff teams.
Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
Commitment to promoting childrens rights, wellbeing, and participation.
Full UK driving licence is essential.
