JOB TITLE: IMS & Db2 Mainframe Systems Programmer
SALARY: £70,929 - £78,810
LOCATION(S): Edinburgh
HOURS: Full time
WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time at our location listed above.
About this opportunity
As an IMS & Db2 Systems Programmer on the zSeries Mainframe you'll be one of a team which are the technical authority for this area. This is a hands-on role where you’ll configure and maintain products and services according to Group standards and policies (and to agreed service levels) and will assist with the delivery of projects within the teams' focus – this includes out of hours. Additionally, you’ll provide technical support (including incident and problem resolution for systems and processes in complex environments).
Key responsibilities
Support and implement changes to our estate within LBG as required
Resolution of incidents and problems across the LBG estate in line with LBG KPI’s.
Represent our support team in WAR room/conference calls with incident management and technical teams collaborating to restore service.
Support testing cycles and cycling this back with collaboration to test managers on results
Provide 24x7 support and provide support for projects and team workload as the need arises.
Work effectively with the wider Mainframe teams to run the smooth transition of projects into live service.
Provide consultancy skills to Application teams as required.

What skills you’ll need
Experience of performance tuning and diagnosis.
Prowess and dedicated engagement working with key partners and communicate technical issues and concepts in an appropriate manner.
Highly motivated and encouraging teammate with a strong delivery ethic, willing to work unsociable hours when required and at short notice to support incidents and delivery of key projects.
Determination to recognise and drive through service improvements related to products and processes across the z/DB Platform.
Lead the Sign-off that solution/service is fit for Production environment as part of Gateway, working effectively with the project teams to ensure an efficient handover to support
Expert IMS and Db2 knowledge on the Mainframe.
Strong delivery experience ideally operating in multifaceted IT environments or companies
Professionalism and dedication of commercial and interpersonal awareness and working with 3rd Parties.
Ideally an already be an expert Mainframe Db2 and IMS Systems Programmer, preferably in a banking environment looking for a new challenge with a very reputable banking group such as Lloyds.
