About the Role As a Field Service Engineer, you’ll be part of a dedicated team of System & Service Engineers responsible for delivering top-tier service to our customers. Your work will encompass: •Remedial Maintenance: Responding to customer-reported incidents within agreed SLAs and ensuring swift resolution. •Minor Works: Handling customer requests, including Moves, Adds, Changes, and Terminations, within expected timeframes. •Preventative Maintenance: Conducting service visits, equipment audits, triage, cosmetic repairs, and programming. •Vehicle Installations: Installing communication equipment in both motorized and non-motorized vehicles. •Radio Signal Strength Testing: Ensuring optimal coverage and performance. •Project Delivery: Supporting system engineering tasks to industry standards and deadlines. What You'll Be Working With The role primarily focuses on radio and telematics technology, but also involves working with fibre, cellular, Unified Comms, network, wireless, and M2M technologies. You’ll collaborate with multiple operational teams to ensure seamless service delivery. Key Responsibilities •Deliver high-quality service, meeting customer SLAs and performance targets. •Respond to and complete service/incident tickets efficiently. •Perform vehicle telematics and radio installations, decommissioning, and servicing. •Execute Moves, Adds, and Changes (MACs) as requested. •Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance visits. •Support engineering projects, ensuring timely completion to industry standards. •Maintain accurate documentation of all activities. •Uphold health, safety, environmental, and quality standards. •Keep company vehicles presentable and adhere to all company policies and procedures. •Participate in training programs and continuous learning to stay ahead in a fast-evolving technical environment. What We're Looking For •Solid technical background with strong practical experience. •FITAS or AVI qualification (or equivalent) in vehicle installations. •Willingness to travel and stay away from home when required. •Experience in vehicle installations, specifically radio/telematics. •Expertise in DMR radio systems and equipment (Hytera, TAIT, Simoco, Motorola, Kenwood, etc.). •Strong client-facing skills with excellent verbal and written communication. •Ability to work independently and as part of a team. •Clean UK driving license. •Experience working under pressure and meeting strict SLAs. •Ability to provide a 5-year employment/gap history for security clearance. •SC Clearance is advantageous. •Knowledge of Wi-Fi installation and maintenance is a plus.
