Tax Transformation – Assistant Manager

Salary: £50k - £60k

Key Responsibilities
* Support the design and implementation of ERP and tax automation solutions.
* Assist in configuring tax engines such as Vertex O-Series, Thomson Reuters OneSource, or similar.
* Conduct data analysis to improve tax reporting and compliance efficiency.
* Collaborate with clients to implement robust governance and process frameworks.
* Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to integrate tax requirements into finance systems.
* Provide technical input during client meetings, workshops, and documentation reviews.
* Contribute to project management tasks, ensuring deliverables are on time and within scope.
What’s Required
* Practical experience with ERP systems such as SAP S/4 HANA, Oracle, or Workday. (Essential)
* Knowledge of tax technology tools, including VAT determination engines and bolt-ons. (Desired)
* Understanding of tax processes (indirect tax, direct tax, or transfer pricing). (Desired)
* Familiarity with end-to-end finance processes like Accounts Payable and Record-to-Report. (Desired)
* Hands-on experience with data transformation tools or automation techniques (e.g., Excel macros, SQL, or Power BI).
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
