About the job
SAS is creating a truly Global Life Science Business Unit and will be expanding the number of global accounts in the Unit as well as integrating additional important life science clients. As part of this larger scope, a new role has been opened to help lead and manage a sales team of 7 Account Managers across Europe. The main goal will be driving business growth and achieving sales targets across multiple locations in Europe. The new manager will report directly to the European Head of Life Sciences and will be responsible for overseeing the sales strategies, developing and maintaining strong relationships with key clients, and ensuring the team meets its performance goals.
As European Sales Manager-Life Science, you will:
* Develop and execute effective sales strategies to drive growth in the Europe region
* Lead, motivate, and manage the sales team to achieve targets
* Implement strong planning and execution based on SAS’s “Excellence in Execution” protocol
* Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders
* Monitor and analyze sales performance, providing regular reports to senior management
* Collaborate with other industry teams such as industry advisory, customer success, consulting, alliances, and other departments at SAS to ensure a seamless customer experience
* Ensure tight alignment with colleagues and local leadership in each of the countries where the clients are located
Required Qualifications
* More than ten years of experience in software sales, including two years in a leadership role
* Good understanding of pharma
* Demonstrated understanding of strategic sales techniques and principles specifically in the software industry
* Ability to analyze diverse issues where evaluation of a variety of factors is required, including an understanding of current business trends
* Fluent English and at least 1 European language would be a plus
* Must be willing to travel
