Your role and responsibilities This Presales Solution role will support Account Executives in new and existing partner relationships, as well as direct business in order to grow revenue opportunities. We are looking for a self-starter who can deliver successfully within a dynamic team but must also be able to work independently. We anticipate that the successful candidate's responsibilities will grow with the team. Responsibilities: - Successfully convey technical details to a non-technical audience, as well as foster credibility with more technical audiences. - Offer knowledge and skills to help qualify business opportunities by understanding the user requirements and technical environment - Demo solutions to customers and partners with or without sales support. - Analyze and document customer technical environments to create solution designs - Assist the pricing team with developing cost estimates - Develop SOWs based on the customer's requirements and inline with the IBM costing model - Handle objections professionally; answer questions quickly and coherently; deal with challenges assertively and persuasively. - Self-manage assignments and administrative tasks, managing multiple projects simultaneously from start to finish. - Offer technical advice and support to our community of partners. - Assist in the sales cycle / business development Required technical and professional expertise - A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience. - Familiar with IBM Mainframe technologies (COBOL, DB2, IMS DB/DC, IDMS, Natural, Adabas, VSAM, CICS, Batch(JCL)) and Distributed technologies - Familiar with relational and non-relational database design.
