Job summary Senior Fellow in Paediatric Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery This senior clinical fellow post (ST5 equivalent) is based within the Bristol Royal Hospital for Children, which has one of the largest paediatric orthopaedic units in the country and is the regional Paediatric Major Trauma Centre for South West England. This post is a 6 month appointment, suitable for those interested in Paediatric Orthopaedics. Start date February 2025 Main duties of the job The department currently comprises nine substantive orthopaedic surgeons, all of whom take part in the paediatric trauma on-call, 5 specialist trainees (Severn deanery) and 3 junior clinical fellows. This post is intended to support the development of senior trainees who wish to pursue a career as a Consultant Paediatric Orthopaedic Surgeon. The successful individual will gain experience in a wide range of secondary and tertiary elective referrals as well as the management of routine and complex trauma cases, as the hospital serves as the Paediatric Major Trauma Unit for South West England.
