The Team The Strategic Estates team plays a vital role in maintaining and improving the historic Parliamentary Estate. As custodians of this working World Heritage site, we support both the House of Commons and the House of Lords, ensuring the buildings remain fit for purpose while balancing conservation with innovation. Within Strategic Estates, the Project Delivery Team leads a diverse portfolio of refurbishment, conservation, and construction projects. Managing approximately 181 projects with an annual spend of £100-150m, the team is dedicated to improving project predictability while upholding the highest standards of quality and safety. The Role As a Project Support Officer, you will play a key role in supporting multiple project teams within the Project Delivery Team. Acting as the central point of coordination, you will be responsible for drafting, collating, and reporting detailed project information, ensuring that deadlines are met, and project momentum is maintained. Some of the key responsibilities for this role include: Sending out monthly financial forecasts and ensuring timely returns. Organising project-related meetings and updating stakeholder action plans. Preparing first drafts of reports and project documents for approval. Managing project handover documentation to ensure compliance. Providing analysis of team-wide risks, issues, and opportunities. Using a range of office and project management IT tools, including Microsoft Suite. Skills and Experience To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate: Experience working in a fast-paced team, ensuring objectives are delivered on time and to a high standard. Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with diverse stakeholders. Excellent organisational skills, capable of managing multiple tasks and deadlines in a complex environment. Clear and confident communication skills, able to present complex information in an accessible way. Financial awareness, including experience in monitoring project spend and budgets.
