Pharmacy and Medicines; Flourishing in Fife. We are looking for an experienced individual to join our talented team at NHS Fife. We are one of the most dynamic health boards in Scotland, providing a full range of primary, community, mental health, acute and elective hospital services for a population of around 380,000 across the Kingdom of Fife. We are rooted in the communities we serve and are driven by our vision to improve the health of our population by developing integrated healthcare services delivered thorough our highly talented and committed workforce. We work with local people and partners across health, social care, and the voluntary sector in innovative ways to improve health and wellbeing for all our communities. Our key priority will be to develop closer integrated and collaborative ways of working with all our partners to implement our Health and Wellbeing Strategy. We can only do this with great staff who are encouraged and supported, which is why we invest in them, listen to them, make sure we are representative of our populations and that we foster their health and wellbeing. It's an ideal chance for those who may feel they have gained experience working as a clinical pharmacist and are now ready to undertake a senior clinical position. Reporting to the Lead Pharmacist for Planned Care, you will also be expected to develop strong collaborative working relationships to ensure optimisation of medicines whilst patients undergo surgical procedures here in Fife. This post based at the Victoria Hospital, in Kirkcaldy, is an excellent opportunity for an experienced pharmacist to provide operational support and leadership for surgical patients in the Planned Care Pharmacy Team. You must have a proven track record of delivery of clinical services at a specialist level. You should also be self motivated and be able to work independently or as part of the pharmacy team and wider multidisciplinary team. You will be an excellent communicator who has the ability to build good relationships with colleagues and other healthcare professionals. You should have experience of working in a clinical environment and managing staff. If you are excited by the prospect of joining one of NHS Scotlands most dynamic and forward-thinking Boards, and by the opportunity to shape the workforce of the future, we would love to hear from you. A requirement of this post is to become a member of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme Prior to appointment. NHS Scotland is reducing their full-time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the Recruiting Board. NHS Fife is legally obliged to ensure all its employees are legally entitled to work in the United Kingdom. If you are not a United Kingdom (UK) or Irish National, you are required to confirm your right to work in your application.
