Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Customer Service Manager to deliver exceptional service and driving growth in the logistics industry. The ideal candidate will have proven experience working in a customer service managerial position within the transport and logistics industry.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee and nurture relationships with our customers, ensuring their needs are met and expectations exceeded.
* Collaborate closely with depot managers to align strategies and ensure seamless customer service delivery.
* Facilitate the smooth onboarding process for new customer accounts, ensuring a seamless transition and alignment with their expectations.
* Leading our small Customer Service Team, office based and external at customer sites. Authorising holiday requests and maintaining suitable office cover, coordination of activities including, Daily Service Reports, OTIF, KPI Monitoring.
* Liaising with our traffic department and customers to ensure the smooth running of the operation.
* Being responsible for the efficient and effective completion of all administrative tasks to ensure all invoicing processes can be completed without delay.
* Answering all queries via email, phone and face to face.
* Using various internal/external IT systems.
* Implement a robust efficient returns process to give clear visibility and traceability from start to finish and adhering to customer expectations.
Requirements:
* Proven experience in Customer Service, preferably in the logistics or transportation industry.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with customers and internal stakeholders.
* Strong strategic focus and continuous improvement experience.
* Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities.
* Solution-driven and flexible approach to work.
* Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative.
* Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
