Arcas Technology is currently seeking an experienced IT Support Engineer to join a leading educational institution. You will be responsible for providing first-line technical support across all applications and IT systems used within the institution.
Key Responsibilities
1. Provide first-line support for all applications, including MS Office, Adobe Creative Cloud, Internet browsers, and various design, video, and audio tools.
2. Support and maintain Windows, Apple, and Google OS workstations, ensuring optimal performance and usability.
3. Deliver first-line support to all users, maintaining a high-quality service with minimal disruption to staff.
4. Maintain and support classroom and meeting room AV equipment, including projectors, Interactive Whiteboards, and digital displays, handling setup and configuration as needed.
5. Collaborate with the IT Team to deploy and image Windows and Apple OS workstations and software applications, playing an integral role in workstation rollouts and system refreshes.
6. Regularly monitor Service Desk tickets, keeping users updated and documenting resolutions within agreed SLAs.
7. Support and maintain all printers and multifunction devices, managing consumable stock, and providing second-line troubleshooting. Liaise with the service provider for escalations.
8. Assist the IT Systems Senior Analyst in network patching, maintaining labeled ports, orderly data cabinets, and up-to-date documentation.
9. Work with the team to define IT policies and procedures, ensuring clear and accessible documentation is available.
10. Partner with the IT Senior Systems Analyst in planning and implementing IT projects, with a focus on areas of responsibility outlined in this role.
Key Skills
1. Proficient in Microsoft and Apple Operating Systems.
2. Experience with Google Workspace.
3. Knowledge of Active Directory and Windows Server.
4. Basic understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP, IP, DNS, and DHCP.
5. Experience with Microsoft Office, Microsoft 365, and Adobe products.
6. Familiarity with HTML, website management, and content management systems.
