Salary: £24,249 FTE (Pro-rata £21,451.04) per annum

The Role
The role of Personal Development Coordinator is an exciting opportunity where every day brings something different. This position sits within their Student Support Service team and will be based at Dearne Valley College, part of the RNN Group. You will be responsible for the creation and delivery of an engaging programme of personal development activities and events for College learners to enhance their College experience.
Key duties include creating a programme of personal development activities, available to all learners, and working with them to understand key topics and themes. You will organise, coordinate, and deliver events to develop essential life and personal skills of students, including health, wellbeing, and learning opportunities. Current staff have expressed that it’s a fun and enjoyable role within the College, allowing you to meet a variety of individuals and organisations both internally and externally.
You will build effective partnerships with external organisations, who will provide guest speaker delivery and lead on learner voice activity.
Skills and Qualifications
You should have experience working within an educational environment, ideally in Further Education/Post-16. As part of a team, you will be responsible for organising, co-ordinating, promoting, and delivering events that develop essential life and personal skills of learners.
Qualifications required include English and Maths at Level 2 (GCSE) or equivalent, and a Level 2 qualification in Guidance/Counselling or similar. You must demonstrate good customer service skills and be able to work with respect and confidentiality.
Department Info
The Personal Development Coordinator will work within a team on-site and with colleagues in similar positions across other RNN Group campuses to provide a consistent approach to events, delivery, and offerings. You will report to the Student Support Team Leader and work closely with colleagues in the Student Support teams onsite. Additionally, you will liaise with curriculum managers and tutors to ensure learners access appropriate personal development opportunities for their individual learner journey.
