Care Plus Group are looking for Medication Officers to join their team at Community Inpatient Unit to support medications within the unit.
Our Community Inpatient Unit is a bed-based facility supporting people to recover and regain their independence following a period of illness, trauma, surgery, or significant event. It supports hospital discharges, prevents admission to hospital or long-term care and promotes independent living. It's a multi-disciplinary service with Nurses, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Social Workers, and care staff.

Hours: 37.5 hours a week

Salary: £23,807 per annum fixed salary point
We are currently looking for experienced staff to support medications within the unit.
You must have NVQ/QCF level 3 in Health and Social Care and at least one year’s experience working in a health and/or social care setting, providing care to individuals. You must also have experience of handling medications and ideally have the Safe Handling of Medication Certificate.

Qualifications
* NVQ/QCF level 3 in Health and Social Care
* Safe Handling of Medication Certificate or any equivalent qualification
* Level 3 English, Maths and IT or equivalent level of competence
* Infection Control
* Knowledge of Systmone, Web V or equivalent clinical databases
Experience
* Recent experience of supporting people in either a paid or voluntary capacity (within the last year)
* Knowledge of and evidence of working within the ethos of person-centred care
* Evidence of safe handling of medication within the last year
* Evidence of working with IT systems
* Experience of working with people with varying needs and abilities
* Experience of joint working with other health and social care professionals
* Experience of working with rehabilitation or re-ablement
Skills & Knowledge
* Ability to assist and support individuals and engage with self-management of medication appropriately at all levels
* Effective verbal, written, and electronic communication skills
* Ability to provide practical and emotional support and guidance to individuals
