Accounts Assistant Manager

Key responsibilities of this role include
1. Managing a portfolio of clients including reviewing year end statutory accounts for limited companies, partnerships and sole traders for senior management review
2. Reviewing corporation tax computations and returns
3. Completion/reviewing and filing monthly and quarterly VAT returns under all types of VAT schemes
4. Reviewing monthly and quarterly management accounts to a high standard
5. Liaising with clients on technical queries and assisting with any software related queries
6. Assist with the development and training of junior members of the team and assist with managing team workflow
7. Deliver excellent client service
8. Ad-hoc work to support the Partners
Desired skills and experience
9. 1-2 years post qualified with ACA/ACCA
10. Minimum 3 years' experience working in practice
11. Working knowledge of UK GAAP and FRS 102
12. Sound accounting system knowledge and experience of CCH, Sage, Xero, QuickBooks and Alphatax, preferred but not essential
13. Ability to develop strong client relationships
14. Hands on, diligent and able to demonstrate excellent client interpersonal skills
15. Excellent organisational skills and ability to multi-task
16. Good attention to detail
17. Proficient with Excel, Word and Outlook
18. Team player with a strong work ethic and drive
19. Ability to work under own initiative and to tight deadlines
Remuneration Package
20. Competitive salary, subject to experience
