1.0WTE Band 4 (12 month fixed term post)
To work within the Community Stroke and Community Neurorehabilitation teams (CST/CNRT), undertaking assessments and other duties appropriate for the role. Assisting with psychological assessment and interventions under the supervision of a qualified psychologist, including neuropsychological assessment, and assisting with relevant projects within the service. Supervision and CPD time will be provided.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be expected to work mostly in community settings (including domiciliary visits) within the CNRT/CST. The post holder will be expected to travel to other locations to attend meetings/other administrative needs of the service.
You will be expected to be able to transport test materials between work sites and to manipulate test items to a satisfactory degree and to be able to concentrate for long periods in the performance of assessments as well as in the writing up of the results. You may also be required to sit in a constrained way for long periods. The post holder may be required to work with service users in abusive or hostile conditions and may experience sensitive and potentially distressing situations on a regular basis. The client group may include people with a range of organically induced behavioural management disorders.
