We are currently recruiting for a Market Manager to manage the day to day running of our outdoor Christmas Market in Swindon, on a temporary basis over the Christmas period. Who are we? LSD Promotions are a leading markets and events provider in the UK. We provide a variety of services to our clients, including managing regular street markets on behalf of local authorities, creating unique and spectacular events, inclusive of food and drink festivals and we also offer a stall hire service. What’s the role? This is an exciting opportunity to join us as a Market Manager at our brand new Christmas Chalet event in Swindon. The Market Manager is responsible for ensuring the effective day to day running of our Christmas Market, to ensure we deliver a first-class service for our local authority partners, traders and members of the public shopping at our site. The Swindon Christmas Market will run for 25 days from Saturday 23rd November until Saturday 21st December, open six days a week. The market will be closed each Monday. Market Location : The Parade, Swindon, SN1 1BB Working Pattern: Sunday - Thursday: 09:30am - 18:30pm Friday - Saturday: 09:30am - 20:30pm Please note, this is an outdoor market so should therefore be comfortable working in an outdoor environment in all weather conditions. Self-motivation Communication skills An understanding of how markets/events operate would be desirable Experience in working with stall holders and the public Exceptional customer service Excellent time management and people skills Key duties and responsibilities Responsible for the day to day running of the market. Overseeing the setting up, shutting down and site tidiness of the market Trader enquiries Public enquiries Ensuring that market traders follow the market guidelines. Dealing with any issues or concerns Maintain Health & Safety compliance Completing log reports Any other duties that are reasonably requested by management What’s in it for me?
