Position Overview:
This is an excellent opportunity for a Real Estate Solicitor with 0-2 years PQE to join a collaborative and supportive legal team in the Bury St Edmunds office. Reporting to the Head of Legal, the successful candidate will handle a variety of residential and commercial property matters, and assist with property aspects of probate work and tax planning.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage a caseload of residential and commercial conveyancing matters, including sales, purchases, remortgages, leases, and property development
2. Assist with property-related aspects of probate work and tax planning implementation
3. Provide expert legal advice on property issues and conduct legal research
4. Draft and review legal documents, such as contracts, leases, and transfer deeds
5. Collaborate with clients, estate agents, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth transactions
6. Stay informed about changes in property law and regulations to ensure compliance
7. Attend client meetings and negotiations as needed
8. Promote real estate services through seminars, social media, and other business development activities
9. Support other team members and departments on property-related queries
10. Meet productivity, recoverability, and fee income targets
Requirements:
1. Qualified Conveyancing Solicitor or Legal Executive (0-2 Years PQE)
2. Strong understanding of residential and commercial property law
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
4. Organisational skills with the ability to manage a caseload independently
5. Membership with the Law Society of England and Wales
6. Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment
