Job overview
We require a Consultant to join the Department of Urology at East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust. The post-holder will join a dedicated and forward-looking team, helping to deliver urology services across our two base hospitals in East Sussex.
Most services are based at the Eastbourne District General Hospital with satellite out-patient and endoscopy clinics at the Conquest Hospital in Hastings. We provide a comprehensive urology service including regional cancer services, complex endourology, urogynaecology and reconstructive surgery.
Main duties of the job
This post will focus on endourology and the renal stone service but there will be a requirement to support the general urology case load as well.

Registration
* Inclusion on the GMC Specialist Register for Urology or within 6 months of obtaining CCT (or CESR / equivalent).
Qualifications
* FRCS or equivalent
Audit and Research
* Thorough understanding of principles of medical audit and research.
* Evidence of significant peer reviewed research, presentations and publications
Experience
* Evidence of competence in advanced endourology
* Post CCT Fellowship in upper tract surgery
* Ability to perform solo PCNL on commencement
* Demonstrates intelligent and analytical approach to problem solving.

* Ability to work with colleagues in other specialties to develop local services.
* Completion of QIP/Service Improvement Projects
