Owing to an increase in numbers a friendly nursery in Bedford (MK41) is currently looking for Early Years Practitioners to join their expanding team.
The hours for this Early Years Practitioner role are Monday - Friday, 37.5 hours a week on a shift basis between the hours of 8am - 6pm. Part Time hours / a job share can also be considered.
To be considered for this Early Years Practitioner job candidates must have:
1. A full and relevant level 2 / 3 or above qualification in Childcare / Early Years
2. A good knowledge of the EYFS framework and Ofsted standards
3. Previous nursery and keyworker experience
4. Strong communication skills and able to work well in a team
5. The ability to work under your own initiative
6. Paediatric first aid is desirable (Tinies can assist)
7. A clean enhanced DBS
Responsibilities will include:
8. Planning and carrying out a wide range of activities indoors and outdoors
9. General childcare duties
10. Implementing the EYFS framework and carrying out observations
11. Supporting a key group of children
12. Working closely with parents and colleagues
13. Attending team meetings and training days
14. Actively engaging and supporting the learning and development of each child in your care
15. Monitoring and recording children's progress, achievements and next steps
