Job Role:
As a Multi-Skilled Electrical Engineer, you will play a critical role in maintaining and improving the efficiency of our manufacturing processes. Your primary responsibilities will include:
* Electrical Maintenance and Repair:
o Conduct routine maintenance, fault finding, and repair on a wide range of electrical equipment including conveyors, motors, sensors, and control panels.
o Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults efficiently to minimise downtime.
o Perform preventive maintenance to ensure optimal performance of electrical systems and reduce unexpected failures.
* Installation and Commissioning:
o Install, commission, and decommission electrical equipment and systems in accordance with industry standards and company requirements.
o Assist with the installation of new machinery and upgrade of existing systems to improve production efficiency and safety.
* Compliance and Safety:
o Ensure all electrical work complies with relevant health and safety regulations and standards.
o Conduct regular safety checks and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
* Technical Support:
o Provide technical support and training to production teams to ensure proper use and care of electrical equipment.
o Work closely with other engineers and departments to support production needs and project initiatives.
* Documentation and Reporting:
o Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance.
o Prepare reports on equipment status, maintenance activities, and downtime incidents.
Skills and Qualifications:
* Qualified to a minimum of NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Engineering.
* Strong knowledge of electrical systems, PLCs, and control systems in a manufacturing environment.
* Experience with electrical fault finding, diagnostics, and repair.
* Familiarity with a range of electrical equipment and tools used in food manufacturing.
* Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to identify and resolve issues quickly and effectively.
* Proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
* Willingness to work a 12-hour shift pattern including days and nights.
* High level of attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of work.
