The Vacancy
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Cyber Security Business Development Manager to drive growth and expand our client portfolio. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cyber security, sales, and business development, with a proven ability to identify new opportunities, build strategic relationships, and close deals. This role requires a good understanding of cyber security trends, client pain points, and the ability to tailor solutions that address security challenges across industries.
Due to our continued expansion, Cyro has a requirement for a New Business Development Manager to join the expanding sales team and look after the Critical National Infrastructure, Finance, Legal, Insurance, Retail, Manufacturing, and Healthcare verticals.
Key Objectives
To grow the Cyro Cyber Client base through existing contacts and new leads.
The ideal candidate will have proven B2B cyber security or IT sales experience, ideally selling to medium and large enterprises in the IT Security and Cyber Security markets. They will be confident and experienced in dealing with senior decision makers (up to CxO level) and market aware and capable of researching and lead sourcing.
A strong knowledge of managing the sales cycle and building client relationships will be a pre-requisite. The role will typically involve spending 3 days per week in the field and/or office (London).
Job Specification
* Business Growth & Sales Strategy: Develop and execute a sales strategy to generate new business opportunities in the cybersecurity domain.
* Client Acquisition & Relationship Management: Identify, engage, and build relationships with potential clients, partners, and stakeholders.
* Market Research & Analysis: Stay up to date with cyber security threats, trends, and industry needs to tailor sales strategies accordingly.
* Solution & Pain based Selling: Work with technical teams to understand cyber security offerings and effectively communicate value propositions to potential clients.
* Proposal & Contract Negotiation: Lead the sales cycle from initial contact to closing, including preparing proposals, negotiating contracts, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
* Partnership Development: Collaborate with vendors, technology partners, and industry leaders to strengthen cyber security offerings.
* Revenue & Target Achievement: Meet and exceed sales targets by driving pipeline development and deal closure.
* Collaboration with Internal Teams: Work closely with marketing, technical, and product teams to align cybersecurity solutions with customer needs.
The role will be targeted on client sales and earn commission on all services sold.
Training & Development
Induction, product-specific training, role-specific training, and coaching are included. Ongoing training and development will be provided, including full training in Sandler Sales Techniques.
Personal Specification
* Enthusiasm for Cyber Security and selling.
* Able to work as part of a team.
* Must take pride in their work.
Experience and Necessary Background
* Experience: 3+ years in business development, sales, or account management, preferably in cyber security, IT services, or technology solutions.
* Technical Knowledge: Understanding of cyber security solutions, including network security, cloud security, endpoint protection, SOC services, threat intelligence, and compliance frameworks (e.g. NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR).
* Sales Acumen: Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets, developing new markets, and negotiating enterprise-level deals.
* Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
* Networking & Relationship Building: Ability to engage with CISOs, IT leaders, and decision-makers to position cybersecurity solutions effectively.
* Self-Starter: Ability to work independently, drive initiatives, and manage multiple sales cycles concurrently.
* Education: Ideally a graduate but not essential - Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Cyber security, or a related field. Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CEH are a plus.
