The Company you will be working for; Our client is a world leader in their engineering sector. They are looking to recruit a Project Quality Engineer to support projects from acquisition through to delivery ensuring project, TFM, legal and regulatory requirements are met. This will include aspects of project documentation, vendor/sub-contractor inspection/monitoring and assembly/testing. The Job you will do; Review project documents to establish contractual requirements and identify any exceptions. Provide project documents to support proposals (i.e. Project Quality Plans, Inspection and Test Plans etc.) Participate in contract review process when orders won. Produce relevant project documents to support client documentation requirements (i.e. Project Quality Plans, Inspection and Test Plans etc.) and revise as required throughout the duration of the project. Co-ordinate vendor pre-qualification documents including WPS/WPQR/ITP/NDT/Operator Qualifications. Technical review of material certification and traceability, welding/NDT records, dimensional records etc. Carry out inspections and witness of tests as and when required at vendors and during assembly. Review schedule at vendors for expediting purposes and report to Projects. Produce relevant reports / checklists to document inspection / verification activities. Carry out receiving inspection of goods/materials as required. Attend internal, client, vendors meetings as required. Liaise with relevant people to investigate and assist in resolution and closure of Non-Conformance Reports (NCR’s) and Improvement Reports (IMP’s). Produce reports for client or internal on status of project on HSEQ performance. Conduct internal and supplier audits as required. Provide input into vendor management including qualification, evaluation and monitoring. Provide support guidance to Engineering / Projects as required. About you; Minimum 5 years relevant experience within a similar industry sector. Knowledge of Welding and NDT procedures/processes (ASME/ASTM/AWS/ISO) Knowledge of painting systems. Qualified to HNC level (or equivalent experience). Internal / External Auditor qualified (preferable) CSWIP Level II Weld Inspection (preferable) Proven history of quality engineering / inspection / quality systems Strong communication and IT skills Strong report writing and problem-solving skills
