Role Overview 10 Hammersmith Broadway is seeking a motivated, enthusiastic individual with excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills to work with a complex range of clients in an innovative sexual health setting. You will provide specialist sexual health advice, information, education, and counselling to patients diagnosed with STIs including HIV, and will be involved in partner notification for STIs and HIV. The role includes initial assessment, support and referral for those disclosing cases of domestic violence or sexual assault, assessing patients for PEP and PrEP, and managing a caseload autonomously, providing health education and support. The role involves working with clients under 18 for assessment and safeguarding, liaising with statutory organisations and external agencies. Qualifications & Experience Possess a relevant degree in Psychology, Health Promotion, or a related field, or be an RGN/RMN (1st level) with prior experience as a Sexual Health Adviser in a GUM clinic or equivalent. Key Responsibilities Provide information and health education to clients with STIs, including HIV, and manage partner notification. Conduct initial assessments and referrals for domestic violence, sexual assault, and substance use cases. Engage in time-limited work focused on risk reduction and behaviour change with clients. Involve in specific project work as agreed with the senior sexual health adviser. Clinical Responsibilities Deliver health education and manage partner notification for clients with STIs. Utilize evidence-based tools for 1:1 risk reduction and behaviour change work. Refer to appropriate specialist services for issues affecting sexual health. Maintain client confidentiality in compliance with relevant regulations. Facilitate client recall for untreated infections or follow-up needs.
