As a Functional Skills Teacher, you will foster an inspiring learning environment where high expectations for student attendance, achievement, success, and progression are the norm. You will play a key role in the development and delivery of Functional Skills qualifications in Maths and English, from Entry Level through to Level 2, ensuring your lessons are aligned with up-to-date curriculum knowledge and the specific needs of your students.

Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver engaging and effective Functional Skills lessons in Maths and English.
* Ensure all lessons are tailored to meet individual student needs, encouraging progress and success.
* Work collaboratively with the team to maintain high standards of teaching and learning.
* Play an integral role in the development of the curriculum, ensuring it is relevant and up to date.
* Support students in building confidence and achieving their personal learning goals.
What We’re Looking For:
* A recognised teaching qualification.
* Experience in delivering Functional Skills in both Maths and English, from Entry Level to GCSE.
* A strong understanding of the Study Programme and the application of effective planning and assessment techniques.
* Knowledge of behavioural theories and strategies, with experience in applying them in the classroom.
* Familiarity with statutory requirements, including Equality and Diversity, health and safety, safeguarding, and child protection.
* An understanding of how to adapt a range of teaching, learning, and behaviour management strategies to ensure all students achieve their potential.
* Relevant classroom teaching experience.
* The ability to build positive and professional relationships with students, colleagues, parents, and other stakeholders.
* Experience working with disengaged or hard-to-reach young learners (ages 14-19).
* A collaborative approach, contributing to the College's goal of achieving consistent OFSTED ratings of 'Good' or 'Outstanding'.
