A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join our small but busy Academic Quality Unit (AQU) team. As the Quality Assurance Officer, you will have the opportunity to be involved with the validation of new programmes and apprenticeship approval events, working closely with Professional Statutory and Regulatory Bodies. Collaborating with the rest of the team, you will assist in the maintenance of our Higher Education academic infrastructure which will include auditing, as well as drafting and reviewing relevant policies and regulations. This is a brilliant opportunity to continue developing your knowledge and expertise in Quality Assurance, contributing to a consistently outstanding student experience at UCEM. Your accountabilities and responsibilities include: Provide administrative management for validation, periodic review and re-validation events for programmes of study leading to UCEM awards and to awards of validating partners Oversee the module and programme amendment process to ensure that accurate records are held Assist with the maintenance of UCEMs Higher Education academic infrastructure including undertaking audits, as well as reviewing and drafting policies, procedures, regulations, and guidance documents Provide guidance to other departments on the preparation of reports and documentation associated with validation and accreditation requirements Our main requirements: Experience working in a similar role Strong understanding of quality and adherence to standards; compliance focused, systematic and logical Ability to interact, communicate and build relationships with people; a personable approach Understanding of student support issues Skilled in the use of IT systems, particularly Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams At UCEM we expect employees to demonstrate our values: Passion, Integrity, Excellence and Support.
